Hörmann has its finger on home security

The thirty percent of people who regularly lose or misplace their keys can now relax thanks to Hörmann UK which has taken home security to a new level by introducing radio finger scan access to homes and garages.
A recent survey of homeowners undertaken by Hörmann revealed that home burglary is the second most feared crime in the UK. It also revealed that 30% of householders regularly lose or misplace their house keys, making homes vulnerable to intruders. With radio finger scan technology this danger is eliminated.David Newcombe, Hörmann UK domestic division sales director and marketing manager comments; “At last people don’t have to worry about carrying around cumbersome keys when they go shopping or for a night out, the most common ways of people losing keys, as they can be confident that they can gain safe and secure access to their homes. Because every fingerprint is unique our radio finger-scan entrance system is extremely secure.”
Biometric (fingerprint) access has become popular for secure access for businesses but is now is becoming increasingly popular for home access for entrance doors and garages.
The technology is cable free and is simple to install. Scanning in fingerprints can be done easily and directly on the finger-scan and can include up to twelve individual fingerprints ensuring access for all members of the family.
