Further growth in pipeline as C-Tec expands R&D team

Leading electronics manufacturer, C-TEC, has expanded its R&D department by recruiting three additional specialist design engineers and a dedicated technical author.

Graham Williamson is C-Tecs' new senior PCB layout engineer. With over 30 years experience in the electronics industry, most recently at Baxall Security, Graham will head up all new PCB design projects. Says Graham: “I am very excited to be joining a company that has such a wide range of products as it will make my job much more interesting and challenging”.Audio-acoustic specialist, Ann Fomukong has been appointed design engineer and will assist in the design of voice alarms and induction loop amplifiers. As technical author, Ian Fox will be responsible for producing instructions, technical documentation and online help files at the company which specializes in the UK manufacture of fire alarm control panels, power supplies, call systems and disability equipment. Paul Sannant joins C-Tecs' team of mechanical engineers.Says Steve Stringfellow, C-Tecs' R&D manager: “Appointing people of such a high calibre is a real coup for C-TEC and I am very excited about the skills and experience they will bring to the team. We are still actively recruiting new engineering staff to assist with product development and I would encourage talented engineers looking for a new challenge to contact me as soon as possible.”The opening of the companys' purpose-built R&D facility in 2006 marked a real turning point for C-Tec as it signaled a significant increase in the company’s research and development capabilities and the subsequent launch of new products including a new range of disabled refuge systems, power supplies and automatic extinguisher panels.Set in the heart of Lancashire at Mawdesley, the impressive state-of-the-art facility has three laboratories, an extensive range of meeting rooms and high-tech customer demonstration areas.
