Temporary digs solution for Webbs

Webbs, the UKs' premier garden centre, has joined forces with the UKs' leading supplier of temporary buildings, creating a 975m² storage facility at its Worcestershire site.
From the garden centres' first order back in 2007 for a small storage unit for the burgeoning business, Webb’s of Wychbold has now specified its third consecutive building structure from Spaciotempo.The new building, which adjoins the two existing ones, is 15m x 35m with a 4.2m eave height. As each building has been added, they have been gutter linked and side walls have been removed to create a single, larger storage space. To reduce costs and maximise efficiency, each time a new structure is added the walling from one side of the original building is used to form a new wall on the extended building. With this latest addition, the resulting area now totals some 975 m² and house stock and equipment for the garden centres' operations.
Crowned GCA Garden Centre of the Year for the last three years in a row, Webbs of Wychbold is a family business providing over fifty acres of garden centre, inspirational gardens and a well stocked nursery. It has developed a reputation for quality in all aspects of its business.
It is the success of the existing buildings from Spaciotempo the and modular nature of the structures which appealed Webbs Senior Manager, David Lowe and led to the latest order. David said:
“By re-using components as the footprint of the buildings has grown, we have ensured that costs have been kept down and the modular format has made it possible for the final structure to be built in three phases yet remain open plan and appear as one building. The work from Spaciotempo has been seamless and there has been little disruption to our daily business. We have managed to reposition shutter and personnel doors as well as the exterior walling of each building and we’ve added further lighting as the changes have progressed ensuring that the buildings are totally fit for our purpose.”
The whole project benefits from a thermo roof with steel-clad walling for extra protection. The building is built to the same British standards as permanent buildings and is highly secure.
