Home Front gets creative for 'Attack the Block'

15 February 2010

Home Front has been chosen by the film makers “Big Talk Pictures” to create a special bespoke playground for their forthcoming movie “Attack the Block”.

To be directed by up-and-coming British director, Joe Cornish, (who already has writing credits on BBC Radio comedy and the new Tintin movie), “Attack the Block” tells the story of youths on a South London estate pitting themselves against an alien invasion.

The specially designed play area is being constructed to an individual brief from the film makers, and has to be robust enough for the rigours of filming as well as looking right for the part.

Home Fronts' John Slater;

“They liked the fact that we have the flexibility to produce individual designs and were confident that we could deliver the project on time and on budget. We are often asked to manufacture playgrounds to specific requirements, but I think this is one of the most individual projects we have done yet."

Filming starts shortly, and the movie is due for release later this year.
