High density storage shelving system designed by EZR Shelving in a triangular stockroom at the Bull Ring.
The mobile high density shelving system with staggered shelving lengths was the solution to make use of all the space available.Providing a capacity of over 300 linear metres, the mobile shelving systems consisted of 5 mobile units with back to back runs of shelving on each unit.
To allow the stock racking to fill this unusual shaped stockroom, each of the 10 mobile shelving runs are a different length creating a 'saw tooth' effect at the back of the mobile shelving.
The aisles are accessed by turning the handwheel, which in turn moves the mobile shelving units, each unit is lockable for safety. The shelving is 3m high and accomodates 5500 shoe boxes.
Mesh panels divide the back to back shelving runs which prevent stock movement whilst allowing good visibility of stock locations.
The track system consists of a low profile running track with ramps to either side to reduce potential trip hazards.
