"Kinetics" team at London and Paris Fashion weeks.

Kinetics representatives worked at the House of Holland,Vivienne Westwood, Stella McCartney,Louis VuittonThe highly qualified Kinetics Instructors and best students of the Margarita Belska Nail School recently worked their third season at London Fashion Week.
This year, they added another marquee event to their schedules: Paris Fashion Week. These masters of nail design worked a total of thirteen shows in London and Paris, with four to nine members of Team Kinetics working at each show.
For example, nine of the nail school’s best did French manicures for a total of 55 models at the Louis Vuitton show in Paris! The most memorable show for the nail artists was Stella McCartney’s, which took place inside one of Paris’s most beautiful buildings, the Paris National Opera, whose rich, intricate interior amazed them all.
The Louis Vuitton show was unusual as well: it was held among the squares of the Louvre, with the models walking around the splashing fountains instead of down a traditional catwalk.
The Vivienne Westwood Gold Label show was remarkable for its unusual makeup and nail design. This was one of the most difficult shows for Team Kinetics, as they worked in a space whose temperature never exceeded thirteen degrees Celsius. And back in London, the Vivienne Westwood Red Label show, which took place in the building of the Royal Court of Justice, was host to a huge number of celebrities.
The artists from the Margarita Belska Nail School had a chance to spend some time with a few designers, such as Giles, Vivienne Westwood, and Rosandra Illincic. Team Kinetics reports that the designers were very nice people with excellent senses of humor. Happily, the nail artists did not encounter any temperamental celebrities, although they did need to call on all their calm and professionalism in working with some of the more capricious models.
It would be difficult to recall all the famous people Team Kinetics met during the two Fashion Weeks, but a partial list includes Sir Paul McCartney, Stella McCartney, Thandie Newton, Pixie Geldof, Marc Jacobs, Vivienne Westwood, Natalya Vodyanova, the Sugababes, Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Janet Jackson, Valentin Yudashkin, and Joe McElderry.
These celebrity guests were generous with their smiles, tirelessly posing for countless reporters’ cameras and giving interviews. After the shows, many of them came backstage to congratulate the designers. Some shows had spacious, bright dressing rooms, where it was easy to work. However, it was sometimes necessary to make do in tight, half-lit spaces, where six people at a time were working on a single model while reporters with cameras crowded in the walkways and administrators and stylists scurried back and forth. Naturally, some amusing incidents could not help but occur in those cases.
The nail artists now look back with amusement on the times when they had to do nails while sitting on the floor and making sure no one stepped on them. It might have been annoying, but the fact that you were simultaneously watching a makeup artist balance above you on one foot like a crane while trying to apply mascara to a model made it fun.
The nail artists enjoyed feeling like they were part of a team in those moments: no one thought their own work was more important than anyone else’s, and everyone helped and tried not to get in each other’s way. In summing up their experience, the nail artists from the Margarita Belska Nail School agree that no matter where you are – London, Paris, or some tiny, unknown town – it is always good to do work that you love and that gives you the chance to see the world and meet famous people. The fashion world in all its guises can expect to see a lot more of Team Kinetics UK in the near future! www.margaritabelska.com
