Health & Safety conscious ‘Stair Crate’ Launched by Teacrate.
08 July 2010
By popular demand Teacrate's mid-sized lidded crate (the LC2),widely used in the retail sector is launched into the removals industry as the ‘Stair Crate’.Teacrate first introduced the Stair Crate to the removals industry at the 2010 Movers & Storers’ Show to test the reaction to it. Significant interest was shown in the product and its popularity is building. The Stair Crate has important Health & Safety benefits because of its compact size, which vastly improves the ease of handling. The Stair Crate is rapidly finding a niche amongst removals companies involved in government work where its use is becoming increasingly popular.
In fact, it was Nigel Shaw of Specialised Movers who originally came up with the name ‘Stair Crate’. He says, “This crate really comes into its own on stair jobs, so that’s why I referred to it as the Stair Crate. It allows better performance in these environments and eases Health & Safety concerns with the added benefit of being slightly cheaper to hire than the standard LC3”.
With dimensions 508 (L) x 335 (W) x 285 (D) mm and a capacity of 54 litres, the Stair Crate allows manageable handling by a wider range of users and particularly in difficult environments like stairs. With Health & Safety a leading consideration in all types of moves, and particularly in the government sector, the addition of the Stair Crate to Teacrate’s range gives commercial movers greater flexibility to address job specific needs.
Paul Bullock, Key Account Manager with Teacrate comments; “It’s a great product, which we believe fills a new gap in the market. We had been hearing of many companies expressing concern about the weight of a full LC3”.
The Stair Crate fits neatly into Teacrate’s existing range of lidded crates, being larger than the personal crate (LC1), used to move desk contents and personal items, and smaller than the LC3 standard lidded crate. Like other lidded crates in the range the Stair Crate is tough and robust with an integral lid that may be sealed to secure its contents.
With Teacrate owning the tool to manufacture the Stair Crate, they are happy to make the Stair Crate available to buy as well as for hire and like all their crates, it can be custom branded if required which is of interest to many customers.
PHS Teacrate’s extensive distribution network means that all products are available with next day delivery as standard and no minimum order quantity. See the full range of products, at http://www.teacrate.co.uk
