Davey boosts Marshall Tufflex Energy Management team

08 July 2010

Energy saving specialist Marshall Tufflex Energy Management (MTEM) has announced an important new appointment to its management team.

Technical specialist Jon Davey (45) has joined the flourishing Hastings manufacturer as its Business Development Manager, a new position created to manage and maintain the high level of interest being shown in MTEM’s portfolio of cutting-edge energy management solutions. Mr Davey brings with him a wealth of experience, having worked for Schneider Electric for 24 years in a variety of roles, including training, technical and product development. His remit covers the full range of solutions offered by MTEM, from its breakthrough-technology Voltis intelligent voltage optimisation to Sinergy sub-metering and Ipsis power management systems. It’s a challenge Mr Davey is relishing. “Energy management is a massive growth sector and once I had seen the new products from MTEM it was something I very much wanted to be part of,” said Mr Davey. “Having compared their systems with competitor products, it was clear that MTEM offered a broader portfolio of more technologically advanced solutions. The fact that they are engineered and manufactured in the UK is an added bonus for customers – many businesses and local authorities are striving to buy British to support the economy and the carbon footprint of our systems is lower because they are not flown half way around the world,” he added. “Our Voltis voltage optimisation system, in particular, is creating a huge amount of interest in the marketplace, especially now that the CRC Energy Efficiency programme is live. We’re talking to a wide range of customers, from county and district councils to police forces, multi-site retailers, hotel chains, schools and distribution hubs. It’s an exciting product at an exciting time.” Great customer service is one of the cornerstones of MTEM – customers enquiring about any of its systems can expect a full site survey and comprehensive evaluation of power consumption figures in order to ensure they are recommended the most appropriate energy-saving or monitoring solution
