Hörmann doors provide showroom finish

25 October 2007

Hörmann UK supplied the display window doors for the TT Grandstand, which was the focal point for this year’s TT Motor Racing centenary celebrations

The TT event is held each year on the Isle of Mann and attracts thousands of racing enthusiasts from all over the world.

Hörmann supplied 5 fully glazed ALS 40 automated sectional doors which are perfect for providing a light and airy showroom feel. The ALS design, which features sections of anodized aluminium, is able to offer a unique aesthetic quality combined with high security and smooth operation.

The ALS 40’s were all fitted with accompanying NT 60 doors to each side and opening lights and fully glazed fascias above each door. For extra strength and security the doors were fitted with Hörmann’s high strength and scratch resistant 16mm “Duratec” safety glass, while the doors are powered by centrally mounted shaft operators.

Alan Jenkins, Commercial Director for Hörmann UK’s industrial doors section, is not surprised by the popularity of the ALS 40:”We have a lot of customers specifying these doors because of what they are able to offer aesthetically. They have a look of great quality and this helps to showcase any items on display.”

The ALS 40 design offers excellent levels of wind pressure resistance while high thermal insulation and air permeability properties help to reduce energy wastage, reducing carbon emissions and providing an environmentally friendly option.
