Hörmann UK has provided the loading bay equipment for the recently completed fourth ProLogis building at ProLogis Park, Stafford. Hörmann is the preferred supplier for ProLogis, which is one of the biggest providers of distribution facilities and services in the UK and Europe.
Hörmann provided and installed 19 standard loading bays, all with wheel guides, at Distribution Centre 4. The specification also included a single double deck bay which features a 4500mm long platform with a 1000mm long telescopic lip dock leveler.
ProLogis Commercial Director Maurice Dalton declared the operation a huge success: “We are happy with the level of quality and service we receive from Hörmann. We pride ourselves on the quality of our distribution centres and to achieve this standard only the highest quality loading bay equipment will suffice.”
The 4500mm high dock shelter features a secondary electric (roller blind) top flap which can be placed in the best position and allow a large vehicle range to be served and sealed with inch-perfect precision.
The double deck bay is specifically designed to service vehicles 3650mm – 5200mm high and with bed heights of 785mm – 1860mm.
Hörmann loading bay equipment was used on the three other distribution centres at the Stafford site. In total, Hörmann have fitted 106 standard bays, 5 double deck bays and 18 level access points.
