iiaa Supports Beauty Entrepreneur in Barclays Trading Places Awards

Young beauty entrepreneur Anisha Koshal has been named as one of the top 100 most inspirational business women in the 2010 Barclays Trading Places Awards.

The nationwide scheme was set up to recognise individuals with an inspiring story to tell and whose grit and determination has beaten the odds to succeed in business.

Twenty-eight years old Anisha, who set up The Cove Spa in St Albans just five months after being made redundant from her City banking job, praised the International Institute for Anti-Ageing (iiaa) for its support in helping her to succeed in an industry that was completely new to her.

Anisha was inspired to invest her redundancy package in opening her own beauty business following her experience of spas she’d visited that didn’t live up to expectations.  The Cove Spa launched in April 2009, despite a major setback for her husband and business supporter Amit, who underwent spinal surgery following a sporting injury just as the business was starting.

The spa is a relaxing holistic environment offering wellbeing, nutritional advice and advanced skincare treatments, leading with three complementary brands from the iiaa: Environ skincare, jane iredale mineral make-up and Advanced Nutrition Programme supplements.

Now in her second year of trading, the spa is making a healthy profit and feedback from clients about their results has been excellent.  In her entry for the awards, Anisha praised the team at the iiaa and acknowledged the importance of their support and guidance.

Anisha commented: “I was impressed with how the iiaa’s combination of research backed products and treatments could provide the foundation for a truly complete client service.  The comprehensive training my team has experienced and the skin analysis events they have hosted for us have really helped us to create demand and increase client loyalty.”
