Metrix launch hand held Process Calibrator with Datalogger function

11 February 2011

The OC-505 is the latest addition to Metrix Electronics' range of hand-held process calibrators, combining calibrator, multimeter and datalogging functions, making it a convenient hand held instrument when simulating sensors and calibrating process instrument systems.

Powered by a rechargeable battery enabling up to 8 hours continuous use, the OC-505 can generate currents or voltages and simulate thermocouples, RTDs or resistances. At the same time, the multimeter function can measure currents or voltages. Measurement readings can be saved in the datalogging memory and downloaded to a PC.

The following calibrator outputs are available: 0/4…24mA loop currents, source or sink mode, with a 0.001mA resolution and 0.05% precision. 0-24VDC levels. 0-28mV and 0-560mV voltage ranges to calibrate strain gauge amplifiers, transmitters and small signal instruments. In addition, the OC-505 simulates thermocouples, with automatic cold junction compensation, RTD temperature sensors and resistances from 45 to 3000 Ohms. Output values can be ramped in steps, or directly entered via the calibrators' keyboard.

The multimeter function has input voltage ranges from 2V to 200VDC, and currents up to 100mA, with a basic accuracy of 0.05%. The datalogging function can save displayed values at preset intervals, from every 15 seconds up to 24 hours, for downloading to your PC.

The OC-505 is supplied with battery charger, calibration certificate, and connection cables in a convenient protective carrying case.
