Eat More Fat and Lose Weight says Advanced Nutrition Programme

The findings revealed a significant decrease in fat mass (-0.5kg) in the fish oil group and a similar increase in lean body mass. The exact mechanisms are unknown but one possibility is that EPA and DHA, constituents of Omega 3, may prevent or inhibit the production of fat, thereby reducing fat in the body.
