Hi Tec Spray expand plural component proportioner range with Graco's new ‘PROMIX 2KE’ entry level system

Surface coatings technology specialists, Hi-Tec Spray (HSL) have given a welcome boost to manufacturers whose spray finishing projects demand smaller runs with limitations on costs.
Some of the key beneficiaries will be the metal, wood, farm, construction, transport and aerospace industries. At 25% less than the cost of its big brother, the Pro Mix 2KS, that’s another welcome boost!The ProMix 2KE plural component, paint proportioning and application system comprises two versions; a pump-based version and a meter-based option delivering single colour/1-catalyst to 3-colour/1 catalyst finishing respectively, with up to 30:1 mix ratios along with pump pressure ratios up to 45:1.
While the system has no networking capability, the meter-based unit can utilise a memory stick to create material tracking and environmental documentation.
Among the materials this system can handle are solvent-borne epoxies and polyurethanes, water-borne epoxies and polyurethanes and acid catalysed materials.
The easy-to-use LCD display allows the user to set up, operate and monitor the system as it performs.
ProMix 2KE has been designed with simplicity, versatility, economy and performance in mind. Being easily maintained saves time and money and also delivers the desired results to fine tolerances, saving much on re-work costs. Material wastage and the extra labour costs incurred when employing conventional hand mixing methods or using a mechanical proportioner can be lowered significantly and typical usage of the ProMix 2KE system can realise payback within about 3.3 months .(comparison and performance statistics available from HSL)
