iiaa Rewards Talented Beauty Professionals at Salon of the Year Awards

The champagne flowed as the International Institute for Anti-Ageing (iiaa) welcomed its leading stockists from the UK and Ireland to its annual Salon of the Year awards celebration at the prestigious Claridges Hotel in London.

Guests enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea while the trophies and certificates were presented to the most successful stockists of the jane iredale, Environ and Advanced Nutrition Programme brands.

After listening to a humorous and inspirational talk by special guest, motivational speaker Steve Head, iiaa training director Tracy Tamaris presented the Environ Salon of the Year UK Award for three rooms or more to Face It, from Highgate, North London, the salon’s seventh consecutive win.  The runner-up salons in the category were Tessa Stevens Health & Beauty, also based in North London, and In Harmony Spirit Balance from Hampton Court, Surrey.  The Environ Salon of the Year UK award for two rooms or less went to Chelsea-based clinic Skinesis, with Chatsworth Beauty and London Plastic Surgery Associates taking runner- up places.

Environ’s Salon of the Year Ireland Award went to Skin from Clontarf, Co.Dublin while the runner-up awards went to Medi CSpa from Ennis, o. Clare and Wards Pharmacy from Longford.

The Advanced Nutrition Programme Salon of the Year trophy was presented by iiaa managing director David Alpert to Face & Body Cosmetic Clinic, from Edinburgh.  Environ award winner Face It, along with Face the Future from Wakefield, West Yorkshire received runner-up awards in the category.

Mineral make-up pioneer and range founder Jane Iredale, visiting from the US, was thrilled to give out the awards to the top selling stockists of her range.  The winner of the jane iredale Salon of the Year Award for Ireland was Papilio from Armagh, while runner-up accolades went to Ward’s Pharmacy, receiving their second recognition of the day, and Aisling Beauty from Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

The jane iredale Salon of the Year UK Award for two rooms or less was awarded to make-up specialist Suzanne Newman from Berkhamsted; in runner-up positions were London based stockists, Red Leopard and Clarity Laser.  The Salon at Gleneagles received the jane iredale Salon of the Year Award UK for three rooms or more, while Whittlebury Hall in Northamptonshire and Gorgeous Nouveau took runner-up awards. 

David Alpert congratulated all the finalists and guests whose excellent results had brought them to the event and commented:  “This is an exciting time to be in the beauty therapy industry.  This business continues to grow throughout the downturn and never before have therapists been able to achieve the level of results that they are now realising in salons.  The iiaa stands for results and integrity and these are the guiding principles that we share with our customers.”
