Acoustafoam contacted PDC Consultancy when they had run out of storage space.
After visiting site the most cost effective solution to their requirements was determined to be a mezzanine floor to increase storage, and production capacity in the future. The mezzanine floor is 570sqm with a floor loading of 4.8kn/m2, this has been carried out in two phase. The original mezzanine floor was 285sqm with one hour fire protection that has been installed under the floor in the form of a suspended ceiling, fascia and column cases, to meet building regulations requirements with regards to floor size and use.
Once we had completed the original mezzanine floor Acoustafoam were impressed with the speed of installation, which only lasted 9 days from start to finish that they ordered the same size mezzanine floor as an extension, giving them the 570sqm of storage space and future production area.
