‘Universal’ Acclaim for Bowers’ VERZUS Series

08 March 2012

Prompted by industry’s growing demand for more flexible hardness testers, Bowers Metrology UK has launched the VERZUS 700 Series Universal hardness tester, designed to cover a wide range of test loads and test methods.

The VERZUS 700 features an advanced closed loop system, based on precision load cell technology, and test forces ranging from 1 to 250kgf. The comprehensive VERZUS 700 Universal hardness tester guarantees unmatched levels of GR & R results that cannot be achieved by other Universal hardness testers.

Boasting the ability to replace several dedicated, single test method hardness testers, each robust yet accurate VERZUS 700 model is equally at home when used within a material testing laboratory or on the shop floor. Bowers’ cost effective VERZUS 700 series complies with all applicable EN/ISO, ASTM and JIS standards and features generous specimen capacities.

The 4-model series means that customers are able to choose a hardness tester that is specific to the range of hardness methods used, whilst a comprehensive list of accessories allows users to specify a model that exactly matches their requirements.  Amongst many of the test methods covered are Rockwell, Superficial Rockwell, Brinell, HVT, HBT, Hb, and Plastic ISO 2039/1.

Depending on the model chosen, the VERZUS 700 features include: shape correction for curved surfaces, optical depth measuring system, OLED full colour user-friendly interface, Go / No Go function with visual and acoustic warning, a large memory for measurements, statistic capability, and USB-2 and RS-232 data output amongst other.

Bowers’ new hardness testing series further expands the company’s comprehensive range of material testing instruments, all of which can be found in the company’s recently launched 2012/13 product catalogue.
