About us

BID Group Ltd was established in 1985 as Bolton Industrial Doors to maintain and repair all types of industrial doors. The company has continued to expand and grow and today BID Group consists of a number of specialist product divisions.

With our head office and UK manufacturing facilities in Westhoughton, Bolton, and depots strategically located throughout the UK, BID Group provides a wide range of installation, service, maintenance, and repair services for Industrial Doors, Loading Bay Equipment, High Speed Doors, Gates, Barriers, Personnel Doors, and Automatic Doors.

There are several specialist trading divisions within the company:

BID Industrial Doors
A wide range of industrial doors are manufactured, supplied, and installed by our specialists. Our service department provides maintenance and repair services for all types of doors.

Klimate High Speed Doors
Klimate is our High Speed Door Division which has a full range of fast acting doors that are cost effective and energy saving, products include the K2 Freezer Door and The ARDENT Standard, Stainless Steel and Oversize  for large openings.

BID Loading Bay Equipment
We can provide advice on every step of a project, from design to installation, for loading bays and associated equipment including dock levellers, shelters, buffers, and control systems.

PSM Gates & Barriers
Designed for industrial and commercial use, we specialise in the installation, repair, maintenance, and service of vehicle traffic barriers, automatic swing gates, turnstiles, and bollards, as well as their associated access control systems.

BID Group employs a nationwide network of mobile teams and boasts an extensive fleet of workshop vehicles equipped to install, service, maintain and repair not just our own doors but those of other manufacturers as well.

The engineers who work in each division are fully qualified in their respective fields. It ensures the best value service and the right engineer for the job.

As a Comercial building contractor, I have worked with BID for around 20 years in pharmaceutical and food grade production facilities. I couldn’t recommend a more professional team of designers and installers. Never had any problems with their own rapid roller doors but they can certainly repair other brands and makes when needed.
