Prodent G is a cristobalite inlay investment. For Gold Shell, Inlay and Post& Core work, many technicians have recognised the advantages PRODENT G, a cristobalite investment imparting an exceptional surface consistency. The mix has a superbly creamy and smooth consistency. The investment is easily removed from the casting with little need for blasting. With its expansion characteristics very carefully controlled, it can accommodate mould casting temperatures as low as 450°C and still produce superior fit. Instructions for use: - sprue and mount patterns as normal; - if required wax patterns may be painted before is invested; - line metal ring with ceramic paper; - measure required amount of powder and water; - 100gm Prodent G requires 36-38ml of water; - mix investment for 2-3 minutes; - invest ring and vibrate gently to remove bubbles; - leave for at least 45 minutes; - place ring in cold burnout furnace, sprue hole downwards; - heat up to 250°C at no more than 250°C per hour and hold at 250°C for 30-60 min.; - continue heating to 750°C at rate of 7-0°C per min.; - hold at maximum temperature for thirty minutes; - reduce to casting temperature then cast metal; - allow ring to cool; - quench cold ring in water. The bulk of the investment will drop off; - finish as appropriate. Sold in 10kg tub.
