Dorgard is designed to safely hold open a fire door and automatically release the fire door upon the sound of the fire alarm. Dorgard has a small sound sensor that listens for any continuous sounds above 65 decibels, once alarm sound has been detected the door will release, after 14 seconds, allowing the door to close under the pressure of the overhead door closure.

Deafgard is small unit wireless, battery powered, sound triggered bedside unit that incorporates a high intensity strobe and a vibrating pillow pad, which goes underneath the pillow. For example the Deafgard unit is given to guests arriving in a hotel. After instructions on how to use it the Deafgard accompanies the guest to their room. The vibrator pad is placed underneath their pillow and the unit on the bedside table. When the sound of a fire alarm is picked up by the Deafgard the pillow pad vibrates waking the sleeper while the unit is flashing strobe and LCD lights as a visual indicator allowing the guest to leave the building to a place of safety.
