John Robertson Ltd was established in 1982 as suppliers of sawn timber from Indonesia and Ghana to the UK and Europe.

As timber production evolved we became pioneers in establishing furniture factories overseas. Processing and quality is approved in the country of origin by our own graders prior to shipping.  From  this base Teak Tiger, a wholly owned subsidiary, was formed in 1990 to supply furniture and accessories direct to the consumer by mail order.

We opened our UK factory in 1996 and are now nominated suppliers of teak and iroko exterior furniture to many of the UK’s best known chains.

Protecting the environment

We take our responsibility to the environment very seriously. We guarantee that all timber used in our furniture production comes from renewable sources. We are members of LOFA and the Timber Trades Federation and adhere to their ‘Forests Forever’ Responsible Purchasing Policy.  .
