The Insurance Broker Directory

Stockcode:

Unless your firm and Website address are well known, most company owners and individuals will use Google or Microsoft Bing to find an insurance or financial adviser provider by typing-in the insurance and or financial services they require and maybe a location.
Our clients benefit from being given their own business listing on The Insurance Broker Directory, showing their company contact details, location and product lines. Being a part of a large directory like ours gives each client a better chance of being found and a first page ranking. It is like having a dedicated search engine for insurance brokers and financial advisers.

  • 23/01/2024 - The Case for Cyber Insurance
Cyber insurance is a hot topic in boardrooms today with discussions about employee security awareness training programmes coming in a close second. Insurers today offer a wide selection of innovative cyber related insurance products to afford their policyholders protection against all manner of cyber-attacks.
  • 23/01/2024 - Hybrid Office
The term ‘hybrid office’ was, until the pandemic came along unheard of, but now it is talked about wherever you go. The hybrid office model is a flexible model allowing employees to work wherever they want, whether in their offices, at home or completely remotely. Most firms have now come to realise that work can be done anywhere, and with the right security credentials in place, safely and without the risk of hacks, phishing, and ransomware attacks.
  • 30/11/2023 - Cloud Services - Things Worth Checking
Many organisations have moved their office systems onto Cloud based arrangements deciding that it is both cheaper and safer to hold their precious data there rather than maintaining an in-house server facility of their own. Since most Cloud service providers are large multi-national businesses, it is reasonable to assume their systems are secure. However, it is worth noting that the majority of recent cyber break-ins have occurred on Cloud based services
  • 04/04/2023 - Email marketing was the most used digital communication tool in 2022.
When the Covid pandemic struck the world was forced to change tact and reassess the need for face-to-face meetings and move over to a more digitally based strategy like email and social media. This strategy continues today with last year seeing email marketing the most used digital communication tool with over 4.0 billion daily users.

  • 27/01/2023 - 'Prove It'
The switch to home working caused by the coronavirus crisis resulted in a lot of security issues, with strong office system firewalls being replaced by poorer home computer security. Office password regimes with their usual strict security protocols were diluted by poorer technology in the home, leaving some firms vulnerable to data breaches and malware.

  • 02/12/2022 - Designing a Cyber Defence Strategy for your Firm
Firms large and small are struggling to know how to manage their cyber security and what’s best to protect themselves from phishing and ransomware attacks. Some through strict compliance with GDPR are doing well, but some are unwilling to grapple with the number one cause of cyber crime; human error.
  • 12/10/2022 - 'Prove It'
In the ‘olden days’ the office front door was locked and we went home safe in the knowledge that it was secure. In today’s digital world of mobile phones and cloud servers far more is needed. The switch to home working caused by the coronavirus crisis resulted in a lot of security issues, with strong office system firewalls being replaced by poorer home computer security. Office password regimes with their usual strict security protocols were diluted by poorer technology in the home, leaving
  • 02/08/2022 - Social Media - No longer an abstract asset?
The shift away from office to home working has forced literally every business in the World to review their business procedures and processes; it seems nothing will be exactly the same again. The move to almost all digital communications during the coronavirus crisis has woken everyone up to the idea of online media and its possibilities.
  • 02/08/2022 - Grow Your Website & Online Presence
Shifting to an almost total reliance on digital media, including email marketing, social media and the firm’s corporate Website has encouraged firms to re-imagine how to engage with their audiences in the future. Pre coronavirus crisis some firms paid little attention to their Website. Post coronavirus these same firms are now eager to grow their Website and online credentials.
  • 02/08/2022 - Tackling data overload and cybercrime
Business is processing data at an unprecedented rate. Cloud Servers are overloaded with data. The latest data centres require very little human intervention to run but consume vast quantities of power and energy processing their data adding to the world’s global warming problems with Bitcoin mining the worst culprit consuming nearly 100 terawatt-hours each year, which is 100 billion hours in old money! Our growing thirst for more and more data is becoming a real challenge for businesses around
  • 06/06/2022 - Using Our Smartphone Security Credentials

  • 06/06/2022 - Making Home Working Work
There seems little doubt that some sort of remote working from home will continue well beyond the end of the coronavirus crisis. The task of tackling incoming cyber threats is ongoing yet many of the more conventional email security measures are no longer sufficient to keep hackers and cyber criminals away from computer networks and IT facilities.
  • 05/05/2022 - Videos and Social Media
Spending weeks in self-isolation and home-working has forced many of us to learn new skills; some frivolous gaming skills but also other useful business skills to take back to ‘the office’. Our almost total dependence on digital media during the coronavirus crisis has encouraged firms to seriously review how they use this technology and the benefits it could deliver.
  • 14/04/2022 - Digital Signing Conveniences
It has been interesting to see that when ‘push-comes-to-shove’ legal documents can actually be signed remotely using digital signature software; Coronavirus has certainly accelerated its adoption. Legal departments by their nature are concerned that the signature on a document is lawful and legally binding and it is easy to just stick to the ‘norm’, if you can.
  • 14/04/2022 - Zero Trust Cyber and Data Security
In the ‘olden days’ the office front door was locked and we went home safe in the knowledge that it was secure. In today’s world of mobile phones and cloud servers we require far more advanced methods to keep things safe.
  • 14/04/2022 - Firms Getting Serious About Cyber Security
More firms are building their cyber defences and earning the Cyber Essentials Certification accreditation. Certified firms, particularly those with a Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation, demonstrate that they are taking data and cyber security seriously and worthy of their clients’ confidence and loyalty.
  • 14/04/2022 - Create a Bigger and Better Web Presence
During the past 18 months firms have begun to take their online presence more seriously. Shifting to an almost total reliance on digital media, including email marketing, social media and the firm’s corporate Website has encouraged firms to re-imagine how to engage with their audiences in the future.
  • 14/04/2022 - What is Social Engineering?
The need for strong firewalls, anti-malware software and operating system patching is now understood; the big issue continues to be the human factor.
