Underhill School installs new Play Equipment

20 February 2014

Children at Underhill Community Infant School in Barnet are enjoying a brand new adventure trail recently installed on the school playing field.

Having secured funding, the school wanted to extend its play provision, by adding some new equipment that would be both stimulating and exhilarating for the children aged seven and under. So, the school approached a number of suppliers including Sovereign.

“We didn’t just want another piece of bulk standard equipment for the playground, we wanted something that was age-appropriate, exciting and encouraged the pupil’s physical development,” Head Teacher, Elizabeth Moore explained.

The result is a bespoke Trim Trail from Sovereign which consists of stepping stones, a rope net tunnel, scramble net log climber and horizontal monkey bars.

“We were very specific about our requirements and after being presented with the component list by Sovereign, it became clear they had understood the brief. The children are over the moon with their new Trim Trail.” Elizabeth continued.

“An added bonus for us is that the Trim Trail is also aiding the development of the children’s problem solving skills as well as promoting turn-taking, aiding social development.”
