Ridon expand portfolio with Hi-Tec help

11 August 2009

Ridon Joinery, a family business of 30 years, has expanded their manufacturing portfolio with the commissioning of a Dry Filter Spray Booth and Graco Merkur application system.

Ridon Joinery has carved a reputation for supplying fine joinery to the building industry and private clients and bringing quality joinery projects to the stage of being ready for finishing has long been their mantra. While excellent relationships with their finishing subcontractors has served them well, basic economics and a close control of end-of-line manufacturing has steered them to expanding the business, encompassing the in-house finishing process.

The  spray booth, measures 4000mm wide x 2250mm high. The 1 metre working depth is manufactured from first quality,  galvanised steel sheet panels, folded into shallow tray sections for maximum strength and supported with rolled steel and prefabricated sections where necessary. The canopy area which is fitted with a fluorescent lighting unit safely housed behind Georgian wired glass. The heavy duty centrifugal fan housed in the extract tower at the rear of the plant extracts at a rate of  6.m3 /s.

The Applicator system comprises the Graco MERKUR, air operated 30:1 ratio pump, the latest G40 aircoat spray gun with a host of accessories to include a 411 aircoat, flat spray tip and a set of tip broaches.

The contract adds testimony to Hi-Tec Spray Ltd, supplying more than application equipment and plant in isolation.  Hi-Tec develop a partnership with their clients to design and develop turnkey systems, where, on the one hand, individual components work well independently, and on the other, collectively fitting like a glove. Hi-Tec are one of few companies able to pull both sides of the industry together to deliver total, professional solutions.
