Bursali Towels (UK) Ltd donates to Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal
Like millions of people around the world, Bursali Towels are heartbroken by the ongoing war in Ukraine, with many innocent people having been forced to flee their homes, their lives, belongings and loved ones.This week all Bursali employees donated money to the Disasters Emergency Committee Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal, and the company quadrupled the amount the employees donated!
The donations will support charities working in Ukraine and in neighbouring countries, providing food, water, shelter, healthcare and protection, - meeting the immediate needs of refugees and displaced people.
The DEC brings together 15 leading aid charities to raise funds quickly and efficiently at times of crisis overseas. In these times of crisis, people in life-and-death situations need their help, and their mission is to save, protect and rebuild lives through effective humanitarian response.
The British public has helped to raise over £150 million in a single week for the Disaster Emergency Committee’s Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal, including £25 million matched by the UK Government, in an inspiring demonstration of support for people fleeing the conflict.
Bursali Towels are pleased to donate to this amazing charity and contribute to raising this already impressive amount, they hope the DEC can help the lives of many.
