Falls training delivered to staff at Craigavon Area Hospital Group Trust

“Solutions have just trained 38 nurses at Craigavon Hospital in Northern Ireland on how to assess an in-patient who may have suffered a spinal injury, how to size up and apply a cervical collar then how to use a scoop stretcher to lift in a team of six from the floor to a trolley.
In addition, they were given handouts and lesson plans so they can roll the training out to colleagues. They were also taught how to ensure staff safety when lifting the stretcher. All stated that the training was either very or extremely effective for them. Solutions have three trainers with many years of experience as paramedic trainers along with current moving and handling qualifications on the regulated qualifications framework. They are all members of the National Back Exchange”
