THERMILATE’S ‘WARMCOAT’ ENERGY-SAVING PAINT

11 August 2010

Warmer homes with Warmcoat Energy Saving Paint

Latest figures suggest over 30% of the UK’s housing stock has been built with solid walls which cannot benefit from conventional cavity wall insulation, and it is these homes that can lose up to a staggering 45% of heat through their external walls. From a practical point of view, achieving the Government’s reduction in CO2 emissions looks bleak. The 6 million plus homes in the UK, built with solid walls will find it extremely difficult to reduce their CO2 emissions . . . Thermilate Europe Limited have developed a wide range of low VOC energy-saving paints, coatings and building supply products for varying uses. Their revolutionary Warmcoat Energy Saving Paint is an emulsion which works by creating a thermal barrier that reflects heat back into the room. This is achieved by the use and development of the latest Nano and insulating technologies and on average, Warmcoat increases room temperatures by an incredible 2 to 3 degrees centigrade. Ultimately, this can reduce heating bills by up to 30%. Reduced condensation with Warmcoat Used in the same way as conventional paints, Warmcoat Energy Saving Paint not only makes homes warmer, and for longer, but also tackles common problems like condensation and mould growth often associated with older uninsulated solid walled properties. Warmcoat’s thermal barrier keeps these colder wall surfaces and moist internal warmer air apart so preventing the formation of water droplets. Consequently, condensation is either dramatically reduced or eliminated completely. Just two coats of Warmcoat Energy Saving Paint make this an inexpensive and fast acting solution for condensation problems, while simultaneously providing pleasing aesthetic results. This industrial strength emulsion is long lasting and reduces maintenance costs. Multi-national household name companies, local councils and UK Government sectors including the NHS and Ministry of Defence, building and painting contractors for the industrial, commercial, retail and leisure sectors, as well as the infinite number of individual householders around the world, have used/are using our energy-saving products to solve solve their problems, save on energy costs, reduce carbon emissions and operate sustainable business practise in the most cost-effective way possible. Scientifically proven and reduced 5% VAT All Thermilate products have been independently tested across the world to UK, EU and ASTM standards, and as Steven North, Marketing Manager at Thermilate states: “Our recognised energy-saving paints, coatings and plasters are eligible for the reduced VAT rate of 5% which can be charged on all materials and labour costs by contractors when used on residential and charitable properties. This helps cash conscious organisations and individuals alike make an immediate reduction in carbon emissions and take significant step towards achieving those important Government targets.” Southwark Council Project. The Problem Earlier this year Southwark Council asked if we could help with condensation problems in Marvel House, five-storey flats at Ports Corner. The buildings have 18” solid masonry walls, tapering off to 13” on the top floor and all flats have 2 or 3 exposed walls. These exposed walls have historically been prone to continuing condensation forming on the internal surface. As well as being unsightly, health concerns are often linked with condensation problems. The Solution and Results The solution was simple. Two coats of Thermilate Warmcoat Energy Saving Paint were applied to the external walls, internally. Immediately the occupants were thrilled with the results. They stated that the walls and their homes did indeed feel warmer and condensation was eliminated. One resident went as far as saying; “This paint is the best thing since sliced bread!” A senior spokesperson at Southwark Council stated; “We are extremely pleased with the results, and very impressed that so much can be achieved with Warmcoat paint.” Tel 0845 313 8681 Email beverly@thermilate.com Web www.thermilate.com
