BOSE enhances sound experience at TGI Fridays

01 June 2011

Viewfax Multimedia has recently installed a state of the art Bose sound system in the new TGI Friday’s diner in Meadowhall Sheffield.

The Bose system is designed to provide balanced sound coverage throughout the particularly demanding venue. In addition to differing ceiling heights, there is a mixture of large open seating areas alongside smaller enclosed spaces for which music volume required programing to increase and decrease at specific times throughout the day and evening.

The solution was a Bose ControlSpace ESP-88 audio management system with a CC64 control centre, providing the flexibility to select input, control output and modify the performance of the system to suit the venues requirements. Discreet Bose FreeSpace 3 satellite speakers with bass support in the main dining areas, plus Bose 151s at the edge of the venue, along with Bose FreeSpace DS16F flushmount speakers in the toilets, give a full rich even sound coverage through the diner without causing unnecessary disturbance to passing shoppers or neighbouring stores. Music provision is via a KV hard drive, and Denon CD player and the input can be easily switched via the CC64 control centre.

Stephen Bailey of Viewfax says he selected a complete Bose system as it offered an extremely flexible and reliable means of control, combined with discreet speakers delivering high quality sound in a challenging environment.

TGI Fridays' Property & Development Manager, Adam Campbell;

“I am more than happy with the installation of Bose in our restaurant in Meadowhall. It not only provides the quality and coverage I would expect, but also a richness of sound that enhances our guest experience. Viewfax have always been a quality partner of ours and I look forward to continuing that relationship in the future.”
