About the course:
Our unique ‘People Moving People’ programme has been designed to equip its participants with the most up to date knowledge and skills to confidently and competently instruct small groups in safer moving and handling techniques, record management and risk assessments.  The final outcome being that your “trainers” will be professionally qualified to ensure people handled by your teams are done so in a safe, comfortable, and dignified manner in accordance with latest best practice.

The course centres on both ensuring your “trainers” are confident and competent in applying the skills but can also deliver effective instruction hence why the qualification includes the words “trainers award”. The content meets the requirements of all Wales and all Scotland Manual Handling passport schemes. 

Participants will learn how to apply our unique method of instruction so existing training experience is not essential. On completion of the course, the qualified trainers will be given access to the most comprehensive learning resource materials that includes on screen animations, film clips as well as audio supported presentation materials.

Qualification:
On successful completion of this course its participants will receive a Solutions certificate of completion and the Q.N.U.K. Level 3 “Moving and Handling Trainers” (Special Education/Health & Social Care) award which is on the regulated qualifications framework.

People Moving People Video Conferencing Practical Skills Training - “Moving & Handling of Pupils”

Ideal for:
Special Education Sector– Staff that need to be trained on how to use specific equipment within the schools and how to correctly move and handle children with special mobility needs.

Duration:
Dependent on requirement – normally 1.5 hours per session of 3 learners (£125 per hour session)

About the course:
This method of delivering training to school staff has been extremely well received and is the most cost-effective way to educate small groups on the basic practices of Moving & handling. We tailor our video conferencing sessions to be bespoke to the individual school, the equipment they use and the needs of their unique pupil. This accompanied by conducting our online People Moving People theory course provides staff with the knowledge and confidence to compliantly assist their pupil with their mobility needs ensuring that no child is excluded from activities, able bodied or not.

People Moving People Train the Trainer Update/Refresher - “Moving & Handling of Pupils”

Ideal for:
Special Education Sector– Existing qualified Moving and Handling trainers who wish to remain confident and competent in their roles and want to develop their existing skills in accordance with best practice.

Half a Day

About the course:
The qualification network recommends that existing qualified trainers attend an update course every 12 months. The purpose of the update is to reinforce and develop its participants existing skills in moving and handling techniques, risk assessments and training delivery. The content of the update is highly learner centred and is flexed to meet the needs of its individual participants. Trainers will be educated on any new or updated regulations to ensure they are always delivering compliant training to others.

People Moving People Induction Course - “Moving & Handling of Pupils”

Ideal for:
Special Education Sector– Staff with little or no previous experience in moving & handling and are required to learn the basic knowledge and technical skills to move and handle pupils in a confident, competent, and compliant manner.

1 Day plus pre course e-learning

About the course:
This course has been designed to ensure you have a team member who can with confidence and

competence move and handle people in accordance with best practice thereby reducing your risk to claims and litigation. The content is for people with no prior training on the subject.

The course centres on improving people handling by combining the use of criterion-based risk assessment with current best practice handling techniques and of new handling aids designed to reduce risk. This course stimulates an ideal climate for change to attitudes, practices, and motivation in the workplace.

Certification:
On successful completion of this programme participants will receive a Solutions certificate of completion.

People Moving People Online Course - “Moving & Handling of People”

Ideal for:
Health & Social Care Sector – Staff that want to be confident and competent when moving and handling people.

Duration:
Annual Licence – average course completion time is 3.5 hours

Our unique online ‘People Moving People 2021’ is brand new to ensure that your teams can learn up to date theory of moving and handling principles developed in line with best practice as of 2021. It is the most comprehensive course of its type. The aim of this course is to equip the participants with all the theoretical knowledge to prepare them prior to learning the practical moving and handling techniques. Learning at a time, place and pace to suit the organisation and the learner. All in a more cost-effective way!

The online course content meets and exceeds the requirements of all Skills for Health, Wales, and all Scotland Manual Handling passport schemes.

Our online course is unique, with it being an annual license, it provides extremely good value for money at £14.95 per licence. Its learners can take the full course then re-visit a year later to demonstrate maintenance of knowledge which gives reassurance that they are still moving and handling patients to the required standards. They can also either take the full course with assessments or just the assessments, depending on their existing knowledge.
