The design review project by our client in Northern England is now complete and the work is Back on Track.

Deltabarn Ltd was asked by their client to perform a deep review of the design work supporting the Garston Solvent recycling
Deltabarn was also asked to project manage several sub contact sections within the project including the Tanker fill safety system, the cooling Towers and the Boiler House. This work was carried out to alleviate the difficult situation that our client had found themselves in, with mile stone payments being withheld from the principle design consultancy because design elements were missing or deemed not fit for purpose. Deltabarn Ltd had to review the design information and listen to the views and concerns of all stake holders then engage with the principle design consultancy and agree changes to bring safety and access back to standard and to ensure the gaps in the design were addressed and suitable solutions were adopted.
In some situations deltabarn had to find new solutions because the principle design consultancy stated they had no solution to the problem. One such situation was the Tanker overspill protection package. The principle Design Contractor stated that the tankers were too varied in layout to arrive at a common solution. Deltabarn found a company specialising in this type of equipment and contacted them to discuss the problems and a solution was designed.
Many hours of reviewing drawings and substantiations and discussing standards and safety protocols with the principle design consultancy and all other stake holders as well as finding and negotiating with new suppliers and contractors brought the project from a state of collapse back to a regular safe build, budget difficulties were minimised and progress execrated.
