Roger Taylor, Operations and IT Director of Space Airconditioning plc, passed away on 23rd March 2010 following a stroke. Roger is survived by Annette, his wife of more than 40 years.”

It is with deep sadness that we announce the loss of Roger Taylor, a valued member of our company family and dear friend.

Roger suffered a stroke at work earlier in March. Prompt action by his staff and the paramedics limited the potential damage and although very unwell the prospect of a reasonable recovery appeared to be promising. Tragically Roger suffered a second stroke in hospital, his condition deteriorated significantly and he sadly passed on Tuesday 23rd March.

Space Air’s Managing Director, Neil Afram said;

“Rogers connection with Space Air began in 1984 when he worked for County Business and sold us our first Apple computer, which still enjoys pride of place in our boardroom. Roger joined Space Air as Operations and IT Director in 1991 and spearheaded the introduction of the company’s FileMaker system, which is still operational today. Roger was well known for his cheerful disposition, his love of golf, music and theatre, but he also had a passion for efficiency in business. He was the architect of our comprehensive and highly efficient CRM and logistics/product distribution systems, which we believe to the best in our industry. He was also the author of Space Air’s ISO 9001 operating procedures. For many years Roger was Secretary of the BTU Golfing Society (Thames Valley) a responsibility he undertook with relish and his renowned efficiency.”

In concluding, Neil Afram said;

“This is the saddest time in our company’s 30 year history, we have lost a highly respected colleague and a fantastic friend. In mourning his loss we celebrate his life and cherish the many great times we enjoyed in his company.”
