Castle Donington firm CIM Associates UK takes its health and safety expertise to Ireland

05 June 2023

HEALTH and safety training provider CIM Associates UK, based in Castle Donington, has secured its first two international contracts.

Managing director  Ian Meredith will spend the next three months in Ireland, training members of staff at two different companies – Bilfinger Europa and Noonan Services Group.

Both companies  will be trained in three core mandatory skills – safe assembly of equipment, chemical competence and storage of equipment and materials – and seven additional base skill units.

This will provide international standards and recognition for both the candidates attending the course and their parent companies.

Mr Meredith has worked in health  and safety since 1988. He worked his way up through a variety of roles in the industry, starting as a safety rep in a large commercial garage, before becoming a regional safety manager for an aviation ground handling company and a UK and overseas compliance manager.

Having launched CIM Associates in 2002, Mr Meredith believes his experience throughout various sectors in the health and safety industry has been key to the increasing success of the business.

He said: "Securing our first international contract is very exciting, but to secure  two so close together is just incredible. It's fantastic to see that the name and reputation of our company is spreading, both in the UK and internationally.

"We take the training that we deliver very seriously, which is why we have been Members of RoSPA (The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents) and have taken part in and assisted companies in winning the RoSPA Gold Award for three successive years."
