An update to the ATEX Certified doseBadge Noise Dosemeter
Cirrus Research plc announces the introduction of the new version of the CR:110AIS doseBadge Personal Noise Dosemeter, which has ATEX, EEx, IECEx, MSHA and SABS Intrinsic Safety Approval for use in Hazardous zones.
The new version of the CR:110AIS has been updated to add a range of new measurement functions, has new software along with a new charging station. Ideal for complying with both OSHA and EU Occupational Noise Regulations, the doseBadge uses proven technology housed in a robust metal case.
The doseBadge is widely used in the Petrochemical, Mining, Construction and Pharmaceutical industries world-wide and is the ideal tool for measuring and reporting occupational noise exposures. Simple to operate, the doseBadge has no external controls or controls and can withstand tough environments as well as hazardous areas where EEx or ATEX is required.
The doseBadge is a unique solution to the problems associated with the measurement of personal noise exposure. The small size and light weight of the unit allow it to be used in situations where a traditional style noise dosemeter, with the microphone attached to a cable, often causes problems. The Intrinsic Safety Approval is for both Group I (Mining Applications) and Group II (Non-Mining Applications) and the new CR:110AIS version provides the same measurement functions and features as the standard CR:110A unit. The CR:110AIS version, which is differentiated from the standard CR:110A version by a Gold coloured case and the ATEX and EEx markings, has been designed to be used in environments where there is a risk of explosion such as Petrochemical Plants, Oil Refineries and Mines.
The CR:110AIS is the smallest ATEX and EEx Certified Noise Dosemeter, being only 38mm high and weighing 60 grams, is the smallest Personal Noise Dosemeter with this level of certification and approval. The CR:110AIS is the first ATEX approved Noise Dosemeter from Cirrus Research plc and is the only version of the doseBadge that has been specifically designed and approved for ATEX and EEx. The addition of these approvals will allow the doseBadge to be used in a wider range of environments and applications than has been previously possible.
