Big UK Car Dealer Undergoes Major Refurbishment

06 October 2008

Caffyns Brighton Audi is redesigning their showroom with 14 push button double-skinned insulated doors.

The Brighton Caffyns branch has decided to modernise its image with the latest in sectional overhead door technology designed by Hormann. The doors are PVCu roller shutter doors and where requested, possess 60 minute fire shutter technology.  The doors were supplied and fitted by Ro-Dor of Stockbridge, suppliers of closures for the industry and the automotive markets.

Nine Hormann SPU 40 double skinned insulated doors were recommended in varying heights and widths. The doors are constructed from double skinned galvanised steel with a rigid foam sandwich core, horizontally ribbed with finger trap protection and finished in off white with a polyester embossed coating on both sides with high vision 16mm acrylic panels.

Also recommended  were three push button operated roller shutter doors all finished in grey, the smallest being 1650mm wide and 2100mm high and the largest 3000mm wide and 2200mm high. Ro-Dors are manufactured to exact specifications using double skinned PVCu lathes which provide good thermal insulation and help to retain interior temperatures while also being sturdy enough to take the knocks and bangs of a busy automotive workshop without damage.

The doors have no exposed or greasy moving parts and the push button control is fitted internally with a keyswitch externally for security. The fire shutter doors are finished in powder coat grey these models are also operated by push button and keyswitch and controlled by a single phase tubular motor. They measure 2050mm wide and 1050mm high and 2000mm wide and 2050mm high, respectively.
