New appointments at Designa UK

DESIGNA, one of the leading European manufacturers of fully automatic car parking systems, has made some new appointments at its UK sales office in Sunbury.
Ewan Miller has been appointed managing director and Martin Channing has been appointed UK sales and marketing manager. Monty Coulter, the former managing director, resigned earlier this year and is no longer with DESIGNA UK.
Ewan has a background as a managing director in the general automation industry and Martin comes from the parking industry having spent the last eight years with Metric.
Commenting on the recent changes, Ewan Miller said, “These appointments strengthen the DESIGNA UK organisation, which is gearing up for growth with its new product range.”
These appointments come as DESIGNA UK’s manufacturing operation in Germany continues to grow on account of its success with Pay on Foot and Barrier systems. The new PM ABACUS system is designed to maximise car park revenues with the minimum number of staff.
Recent project successes include Dublin airport, and an initial installation has just been completed at Vodafone in Newbury. Car parks at shopping centres, hospitals and hotels are also typical installations for DESIGNA equipment.
