The Shortcuts Health Check that aids Salons and Spas

Shortcuts, the world standard in salon and spa software, have launched a brand new service called a Health Check. This ingenious solution evaluates how effectively salons and spas are using Shortcuts.

Shortcuts are the first salon software company to offer customers a reporting tool highlighting how well they are using their system. The Health Check covers 18 areas of Shortcuts. Some of these include: service set up, client retention, rebooking, stock, client card accuracy and many more critical sections. So, for example, with client card accuracy it will analyse the client database, and will report back important information on all clients, such as, the number and percentage of clients with: full addresses, client cards that are complete, the number of clients who have not visited in the last 12 months and so on and so forth.

It also uses industry standards to help measure the salons performance. One example of this is it compares professional stock usage versus retail stock. On average salons should not use more than 10% of their stock on the salon floor. It is this attention to detail that ensures salons can implement effective processes to ensure money is not wasted.

Each section then has its own easy to follow analysis, and it then evaluates the salon in each area on how well they have performed. Where the performance requires some improvement it offers remedies on how they can do this, for example suggesting some bespoke training.

The Health Check is a great way to monitor performance over time. If a salon implemented this every six months it could clearly see where improvements are being made and where perhaps greater emphasis would be required to improve certain aspects.
