Our water heaters are manufactured by the Backer Electric Company Ltd., using thin wall Titanium tube supplied by Titanium Products. This results in energy cost savings in comparison with competing manufacturer’s products. “Backersafe” heaters are manufactured to the latest issue of BSEN 60335-2-73 to ensure that the immersion heater is isolated from the mains supply should the primary thermostat fail with the contacts closed. “Backersafe” heaters have a standard low cost thermostat with an additional re-set button thermostat in series with the rod thermostat: should the primary thermostat fail, a low cost replacement can be fitted and the protected thermostat reset.
