Cautrac makes Tracks

In 2008, Cautrac made the decision to rebrand all their rubber tracks with the CAUTRAC name.
“There are several reasons for the rebranding,” says parts manager, Mark Kent; “We started selling rubber tracks and rubber pads back in 2001 sourcing from the UK and European suppliers. Two of our suppliers were already OEM’s supplying major manufactures however; we were not impressed with the quality. As we increased our sales we looked for a direct supply from the factories that were actually producing the tracks, our main concern was reliability with price being a secondary factor. With this in mind, we appointed an independent company to oversee the production of our rubber tracks and rubber pads. They would keep a close eye on production, review quality and delivery schedules ensuring that no compromise was made.” Mark say’s “it’s what’s inside the track that’s important and is a vital indication to how long they will last so our guys check the vulcanisation and they Mooney test the rubbers viscosity and composition. The steel parts are tested with a spectrometer and checked for the tensile strength, nothing is left to chance.”
Tracked dumper rubber tracks are the most important part of the machine so Cautrac uses the heaviest weight and strongest designs possible. Excavator tracks benefit from a continuous link design giving extra strength but unlike the competition Cautrac never cut back on rubber quality or volumes so their tracks are one of the heaviest and strongest on the market.
The Cautrac rubber pad range is one of the widest on the market again using the strongest methods available. Rolling press and forging ensures the internals are the very best, with sizes from 300mm to 700mm wide, this gives them a possible solution for everyone. Mark Kent says he is confident of the quality so they can offer a 12 month warranty on their product without any worries, "the only drawback is that no one factory makes all the best product so we have to source from three different factories but its worth it to be able to offer best quality at the best price".
