CoolVan trial helps Milk Float keep cool with new on board fridge

Temperature controlled vehicle supplier CoolVan, are currently trialling a new bespoke on-board fridge specifically designed for installation on Milk Floats.
The new refrigerated compartment design extends the time that the dairy products can be carried on the vehicle, as a selected amount of the product can be stored in the refrigerated section, therefore minimising its exposure to increased temperatures. This allows the milkman to offer varied delivery schedules and also enables the dairy company to offer more sensitive products such as yoghurts and creams.
Coolvans’ Mark Beaton said, “Although this design is the first produced by CoolVan and is currently in trial, it shouldn’t be too long before we can offer the conversion on a full scale production basis.”
