MH Foods & YPS cook up a shrink wrapping success!

The UK’s leading supplier of shrink wrapping equipment, are delighted to announce their latest installation of a fully automatic side feed sleeve wrapper and shrink tunnel at the Erith based factory of MH Foods, a subsidiary of the Dairy Crest Group
MH Foods are the manufacturers of the popular and unique cooking oil spray ‘Frylight™’. Championed by wellbeing professionals and health-conscious cooks across the nation, the range of sprays are perfect for everyday frying, baking, roasting, stir-frying and cooking, delivering both taste and nutritional benefits with only one calorie per serving! With such a great product, the need for great packaging is therefore no small fry issue for MH Foods!MH Foods’ packaging operation involves shrink wrapping a collation of 6 spray bottles together in a cardboard tray, at a speed of 18 packs per minute, ready for shipment to major supermarket chains across the UK. MH Foods production facility was already using a YPS sleeve sealer and heat tunnel, since November 2013, on one of the production lines.
As demand for Frylight products has grown, a further identical line was purchased and installed in March 2018 to meet the increased requirements. Following the success of the first equipment, the benefits of which have included improved pack quality, increased speeds and reliability, MH Foods knew there was no other supplier worth considering when selecting more shrink wrapping machinery. Not only had MH Foods been convinced by the performance of the equipment, but they were also impressed by the award-winning back up and support YPS had demonstrated over the years. They made the decision to stay with YPS, a preferred supplier, due to the performance of the kit & the after-sales service, support and communications.
