Vela 150 Sail Canopies at Cranfield Technology Centre

In June 2022 Zenith Canopy Structures Ltd were contacted by TDA Interiors of London to quote for several canopies outside the café at Cranfield Innovation Centre at the Technology Park.
Ian Manners of Zenith quoted for 4 x 6m x 6m Vela 150 Sail Canopies. After consideration, TDA’s client selected 2 x 6m x 6m Vela 150 Sail Canopies with black framework and Beige PVC Canopies.
The canopies were installed in December 2022 and after TDA also carried out a refurbishment of the café, it became fully operational in January 2023.
The Vela 150 has wind and snow loadings to UK Building Regulations. The structures are manufactured with galvanised steel, powder coated in a choice of colours from Zenith’s standard range.
The canopies are made in 650gsm PVC and are fire retardant, 100% waterproof, have a PVDF varnished exterior coating, prolonging the lifespan of the canopy and ensuring easy cleaning. The also provide 100% protection from harmful Uva and UVb radiation.
