Distillation process for the recycling of solvents.

This contract involves the project engineering, and design consultancy for a large extension of a solvent recycling plant in Northern England.
The work involves establishing a deep understanding of the processes involved and reviewing the work produced by the contracted designers with regard to safety, efficiency and best practice.
Deltabarn Ltd was asked to contribute to the project by the site owners because they felt the project was not going to plan and certain aspects of the design were not being addressed.
Deltabarn Ltd has been involved and improved the pipework design including the static earth methods, corrosion protection and fastening procedures. Deltabarn Ltd has also improved the boiler system, the cooling tower arrangement and the scrubber design.
Working with specialist suppliers Deltabarn Ltd has supplied the site with a tanker overfill protection system to ensure the COMAH site is as safe as possible.
Dealing with sub-contractors, suppliers and designers to keep all are working to the same goal and effectively work as a team, even though they may never actually communicate directly.
This site is part of an international strategy to diversify the micro-processer industry and as such it is vital. And as a COMAH site with processing highly flammable substances safety is crucial.
