Selectaglaze announces secondary glazing acoustic insulation research findings

Secondary glazing has long been acknowledged as the most effective method of providing acoustic insulation at window openings. However, the degree to which noise can be controlled is dependent on many factors such as cavity, choice of glass, style and specification of secondary unit, which, until now, has made the accurate assessment of the requirements for any given situation a difficult task.

The results of  Selectaglaze’s research, which was conducted at The Taylor Woodrow Technology Centre in accordance with BSEN ISO 140-3: 1995, have now been published and a summary of this information is featured within their latest data sheet, entitled “High Performance Noise Insulation”,  available free, upon request by calling 01727 837271 or fax your request on 01727 844053.
