Loadmac - materials handling expertise for New World Timber Frame

22 March 2007

When New World Timber Frame was looking for an upgrade to its' forklift fleet, a number of specific environmental criteria had to be considered and specialist materials handling organisation Loadmac met the brief.

Loadmac, one of the UKs' most innovative manufacturers of quality truck-mounted forklifts and multi-directional forklifts supplied New World Timber Frame with one of its' most advanced machines to meet the busy companys' needs.

The powerful Loadmac V40 LPG has a lift capacity of 4000kgs, ideal for moving and manoeuvring large timber frame components around the yard. Gas powered, it is low on emissions and therefore is more environmentally friendly, in line with New Worlds corporate ethos to protect its' staff from harmful fumes in their workplace.

Its' LPG powered engine is also quieter than a diesel run version - important for long term opeartor use and for those working close to the machine.

Director Chris Stringer said, "our new V40 formed part of a major investment in our facilities. It was important to get the specification right. It is a powerful workhorse of a machine - easily manoeuvring itself between narrow aisles in the yard while transporting 15 meter length beams with ease. We are extremely pleased".

Loadmac manufactures a comprehensive range of MDLF's for use across a broad range of application sectors, including timber, steel, extrusions, construction and builders merchants.

The company prides itself with an unsurpassed knowledge and understanding by application sector and therefore can deliver machines designed and engineered to perform.

Operator benefits, such as a large, comfortable, heated cabin space, suspended seat and a low profile exhaust, are complimented by design benefits such as all wheel hydrostatic drive for ultimate manoeuvrability on sloping ground. Direct coupled pumps give maximum performancewithout the risk of failure associated with the belt or shaft connection between the fydrostatic pump and the engine. Two speed drive means the machine can travel fast in open spaces but allow accuracy for precision lifting.

Loadmac, based in Rugby, is the fastest growing truck-mounted forklift and MDFL business - giving much larger and established businesses a run for their money.
