About us

Yoredale Birds of Prey Ltd was established in March 2021 by Robert Smith, the company's founder, with the aim of introducing a professional and ethical strategy to urban bird control.

Robert utilised his expertise acquired from more than 15 years of practicing falconry, during which he worked closely with diverse species of birds of prey, to refine his successful bird control techniques.

Yoredale Birds of Prey takes pride in delivering customised bird control solutions that reflect Robert's dedication to conservation, ensuring environmentally friendly and ecologically sound approaches to addressing bird control needs.

Our Services Include:

Expert Falconry

We utilise the natural instincts of birds of prey for bird control, eliminating the need for bird netting and harmful chemicals. This ethical approach minimises ecological impacts, placing environmental well-being at the forefront. Falconry, a non-lethal method, employs scare tactics to prompt nuisance birds to relocate, acting as a potent deterrent. This method stands as one of the few humane approaches to managing bird populations and is adaptable to diverse settings such as airports, farms, and urban areas. Our tailored bird control strategies effectively address the unique challenges faced by each customer.

Gull Nesting Season Control
Between March and September, seagulls tend to nest on industrial warehouses and offices, posing risks of property damage and health hazards. Additionally, nesting gulls can display aggression, potentially leading to conflicts with workers and the public. To mitigate these issues, our team employs proactive measures, employing hawks and falcons to deter nesting activity during this period.

Feral Pigeons & Roosting Starlings Control
Businesses and customers face significant challenges from feral pigeons and roosting starlings. Their droppings can corrode surfaces and structures, pose health hazards, and lead to drainage and gutter blockages, potentially causing flooding. Furthermore, their presence disrupts ecosystems, impacts other bird species, and generates noise disturbances, particularly during evenings and mornings. To address these issues, our team employs a range of bird control methods to provide effective solutions for managing these bird species.

The team has recently expanded its operations to cover both the South-East and North of England.

Utilising the natural predatory instincts of birds of prey, we provide a sustainable and eco-friendly method for pest control. These majestic creatures act as our primary line of defence, delivering an effective solution to your pest management requirements while remaining environmentally conscious.

Drawing upon our expertise and dedication to sustainability, our goal is to offer industrial establishments peace of mind through effective pest control solutions that emphasise environmental preservation.
