Advisory booklet helps lift owners save time and money

13 June 2007

Your lift is a lot like your car. Regular servicing and small repairs ensure it’s optimum performance and the safety of travelling passengers.

Each day Stannah lift service engineers all over the UK are asked for advice on the day to day responsibilities of owning a lift and how best to minimise the risk of breakdown and therefore disruption to business.

To answer these questions and expand on recent guidelines Stannah have updated their ‘Lifts – your Questions Answered’ booklet.

The new publication contains advice on current Lift Regulations and Standards, including the Supplementary Testing of In-service Lifts (formerly known as LG1s).
Other topics covered include refurbishment and modernisation of existing lifts,
(often to meet the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act), servicing, breakdown and repair and, above all, to comply with latest Health and Safety legislation.

Stannah Lift Services directly employ over 200 lift engineers who maintain more than 72,000 lifts across the UK, so really can provide expert advice.
