Over the last three years The Machrie Links on the Isle of Islay has undergone a major renovation. With the renovation of the historic links nearing completion, it was time to add some of the finishing touches prior to the opening of The Machrie Hotel. Signage was going to be a key aspect in the overall look and feel of the links. With four sets of tees to play from it was essential that the signage was clear, yet simple and in keeping with the surroundings. The decision was made to go with cast bronze signage for tees which we would attach to railway sleepers and mow over yardage markers for the fairways, which have front, middle and back yardages. Contact was made with Ken White signs, options were discussed with Ben and some visuals made up, very quickly we found exactly what we were looking for. The process from agreeing to the design to going into production was very simple and throughout Ben ensured we were regularly updated. The cast bronze signs arrived on time and look as good as we’d hoped they would!!! Ken White Signs have been very professional and a pleasure to deal with and will certainly be our first call for any future signage.

Efficient with good communication
Prior to opening a new office in South Devon we needed signage on the front of the building. We contacted Ken White signs and it was immediately obvious that they understood our requirements and also the fairly tight timescale involved. Within 24 hours they had surveyed the site and sent us a photograph with a CGI impression of what the finished sign would look like. The sign was produced and installed prior to our official office opening party and looks excellent, exceeding our expectations. We will be talking to the company shortly about our other offices.
