We had a need to train 43 of our staff on safe pupil moving and handling methods. Our team undertook Solutions online People Moving People course which is extremely specific to the Special School environment which was great for learner motivation and retention of information learnt, we found the E-Learning to be a flexible and cost-effective way to train! The feedback from our team was exceptional and on completion of the course Solutions require the learner to provide feedback across 16 dimensions, 98% said that the training and content was extremely relevant and applicable to their roles and 93% rated the overall course as good or above. The overall feedback was rated 91% as good or above.

We asked Solutions to assist us by providing training to a small group of our staff who required hoist training, most of which had not participated in this type of training before. We completed all the theory on how to move and handle pupils in a manner that is safe and dignified by completing the sector specific online People Moving People course which was hugely valuable and reduced the need for classroom training. We found that online training reduced our overall training costs and the need for contact training. On completion of the course, the staff attended a short practical workshop to learn the practical skills of hoisting. On completion of the course, all that attended the training felt confident and competent on how to apply the skills learnt in a wide range of circumstances within their roles. We found this blended method of training greatly beneficial and cost effective.

My team at SECAMB required our moving and handling for the ambulance community updated, the on-line Moving People course provided by Solutions Training and Advisory Limited enabled us to do that quickly and easily. The process involved many new staff spread out over several weeks which the Solutions training team set up extremely quickly, even over weekends and during the May Bank Holidays. Training in this manor had major benefits including avoiding travel by our staff during the period of lockdown and reduced face to face contact. We received weekly updates on student progress and detailed anonymously obtained feedback received from the staff which was extremely positive, giving us the ability to reach out to students requiring any help. Overall, the level of support we have received from the Solutions training team has been excellent.

Having delivered Moving People courses for many years, the ability for staff to complete the theory online during the Covid 19 pandemic was extremely helpful as they could do it at a time, place and pace to suit. When students completed the online Moving People course and they attended the classroom to learn the practical skills, the on-line learning was obviously effective as during the day many parts of the on-line learning were quoted and referred to both by students and myself, which confirms to me that this type of blended learning has a big advantage.

My team and I work as Community First Responders, and often find ourselves in situations where conflict can take place, although an NHS requirement, good to see CFRs recognised and given access to online training in this way, we thought this was overall a major step forward for the ongoing support of CFRs. The course had a good combination of media used, for example video, pics, voice, with a good variety of understanding checks.... jigsaw puzzles, moving terms into different boxes, multi choice questions etc, this kept us all engaged in learning, although we did have opportunity of ""dipping in and out"" of the training" if required. The course was very professional and user friendly, I think it would be good to deliver other training in this way.

We required some conflict resolution training and Solutions could provide us with exactly what we needed via an online learning platform. Some of the best parts of that were receiving instant feedback on your assessment at the end of each module was brilliant, if not a little nail biting!!! The course was easy to access and work your way through and completing the course in bite sized chunks was very useful and was easy to slot in between being a taxi service for teenagers!!!

We completed the Conflict Resolution Online course and I'm not that good using a laptop - my children helped me out a lot (!) but after a couple of blips getting into the course, I found it easy to use and really enjoyed the course. It was common sense a lot of the time but I'm glad you get a chance to redo modules where you just didn't quite get it first time. I'm sure that I will put into practice some of the body language, dialogue ideas etc if a tricky situation arises when out on a shout.

"""Paul and his team for the past 20 years have continually provided West Midlands Ambulance Service NHS University Trust with a service that is second to none. We have worked collaboratively to ensure that our staff continue to receive the most appropriate and up-to-date manual handling training.Paul and his team continue to provide us with services, which include face-to-face, Train-the-Trainer, and refresher manual handling courses. He has provided us with his expertise in regards to advice and guidance, which has often been provided within a couple of hours of the request. The training packages that Solutions provide have often been produced with assistance from WMAS, which includes some of their latest material. They also provide alternative e-learning packages for Trusts, that affords NHS organisations with an alternative or indeed a complimentary method of learning for their staff.Throughout the time we have employed their services, they have always been the consummate professional organisation."""

I attended a People Moving People Train the trainer 4-day course with Solutions, this moving and handling training was made bespoke for real life scenarios myself and the staff face in our primary school setting. Solutions provide post-course support through their online learning system and post course training materials to assist us with the delivery of our future training. I would like to travel less distance but due to the reputation of the company and the trainer the travelling was worth it.

-

We are a special school with SEN pupils and moving and handling safely and compliantly is paramount, Solutions created a bespoke training programme to suitably meet our training requirement. Staff all felt training achieved the desired learning goals required. The trainer had masses of experience to pass on and the post course materials were extremely effective to assist with retaining the knowledge provided.

-

I attended a Moving and Handling Train the Trainer course, which offered the Level 3 Trainers qualification/award, the course was bespoke for the education sector, providing interactive up to date moving and handling techniques required to support the SEN children within our setting. The easy set-up, post-course training materials and the trainer's experience and knowledge in this field are the reasons we have always used Solutions as our provider and would recommend them to others.

-

We used Solutions Training for our Moving and Handling requirements for over 10 years; they always meet the needs of our staff using real-life scenarios in a health & social care setting. The trainer ensures he delivers interactive learning, which means the team retains the information they have learned. Solutions trainers materials (presentations, workbooks etc) and access to their learning management make it easy and simple to refresh staff’s knowledge and enable us to redeliver quality training to internal staff members.

-

We used Solutions for their ambulance bespoke moving people level 3 train the trainer programme. The training was bespoke to the situations and scenarios our staff face within their roles. The trainer was extremely knowledgeable and made the training interactive which helps with knowledge retention. We have seen a noticeable change in behaviour since the training and I would recommend them and use their services again.
