Borg introduce Solo range of mechanical coded door controls

25 June 2009

Utilising a single column of buttons the Solo features a patented sequential coding chamber which has been designed and developed in the UK.

With the Solo, Borg are also introducing a new system for code changing, which eliminates the need to remove any parts from the coding chamber, whilst ensuring that the keypad does not need to be removed from the door.

With 70° of handle rotation the Solo has been designed primarily with PVC-U applications in mind, however it is equally well suited for use on commercial aluminium sections and traditional timber doors thanks to its narrow 40mm width. The 8mm square drive followers mean the Solo can be supplied on its own for fitment with a third party locking device or with any one of our range of lockcases and latches.

The Solo 1 (6100) which uses a keypad extension plate is ideal for retro-fit PVC-U applications offering an upgrade from a standard set of lever handles. The extension plate comes complete with 70mm, 90mm and 92mm escutcheon inserts allowing it to suit the locking centres of a variety of multi-point locks.

The Solo is supplied complete with spindles and all necessary fixings to suit door profiles ranging from 45mm to 70mm. The Solo 1 extension kit is supplied separately and contains all of the fixings required to convert the Solo for retro fit applications.

Borg are offering a free counter top display unit and product literature, with your first order.
