Why Deep Cleaning?

29 October 2019

If you’re responsible for an office block, cafe, restaurant, hotel or any establishment with high traffic areas such as a washroom, deep cleans are imperative.

The provision of environmentally clean and safe facilities for staff members, guests and customers all links to certain health and safety aspects. In addition, it’s important to provide a fresh, clean and welcoming space in order to make the best first impression.

Regular general cleans are important;

Using establishments with washrooms as an example, we know from the offset the importance of maintenance cleaning. Regular tasks usually include cleaning the loo’s, sinks and floors. Not only do results ensure a pleasant environment for people to enter, germs and bacteria are kept at bay.

Why deep clean?

Unlike the everyday tasks discussed above, deep cleaning takes every aspect of a washroom into consideration. Every corner and each nook and cranny is covered with a well-documented cleaning program. If not carried out in-between general maintenance, bad bacteria will build up. This could potentially cause the spread of illness and even disease. As an owner or higher manager, it is your responsibility to ensure this NEVER happens.

What does deep cleaning cover in a washroom?

A deep clean is full sanitisation of the entire space and includes:
  • Walls, floors & Ceilings
  • Every Fixture such as Lighting, Hand Dryers, Bins, Sanitary Units & Air Vents
  • Additional time spent on Urinals, Sinks, Toilet Bowls & ALL Associated Plumbing & Pipes
  • Full Sanitisation of all Surface Areas

Pipework is often exposed to drips and splashes. Building up over time, results are sludge, rust and very nasty odours. This becomes the perfect breeding ground for germs. Air vents are another ideal place for the spread of bacteria. A buildup of dust and other unpleasant microbes could start making their way around.

What’s the benefit of deep cleaning?

A washroom deep clean program needs to suit the establishment in question. It must take into consideration every aspect of the area and use appropriate cleaning solutions to ensure elimination of dirt and bacteria. Here are just some of the benefits:

●    Unhealthy and deep-seated bacteria is withdrawn
●    Nasty smells are kept at bay
●    Amenities will have a longer lifespan
●    The look and feel of a washroom will be to extremely high standards
●    High levels of hygiene will ensue
●    Risk of infection is dramatically reduced

Clear results

Keeping staff, guests, visitors and customers safe in an environment that looks fantastic gives great first impressions whilst encouraging people to revisit.
